Dress Code: For the Royal Enclosure, ladies should wear a dress or skirt that falls just above the knee or longer, with shoulder straps at least 1 inch (2.5cm) wide. Trouser suits or jumpsuits of matching material and colour are also acceptable, as long as they fall below the knee. Lace and chiffon fabrics are allowed, and a jacket or pashmina can be worn as long as the outfit beneath meets the dress code. Hats are mandatory, but a headpiece or hatinator with a minimum base diameter of 4 inches (10cm) is also acceptable.
